REFERRING to the Palestinian Road To Peace meeting, the organisers requested boycotts, disinvestment and sanctions against Israel. This in retaliation to the recent bombing of Gaza where over 2 000 people, including 600 children, were killed while in Israel only 66 people died from rockets launched from Gaza.
The Gaza killings included many civilians, while the Israelis included only two civilians. The aim of the boycott is to stop Israel killing innocent children and civilians and bring independence to Palestine in the same way that sanctions against South Africa brought about the demise of the apartheid government.
In the Herald of the same day in a full page spread advertisement supporting the disinvestment action, Madiba is quoted as saying people must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate they can learn to love, he must be respected as he brought about a great victory in South Africa by supporting the Springboks world rugby finals in 1995.
However this will be difficult in Palestine as the Muslims teach their children to hate and kill the Jews, their holy book teaches no love but hate.
Peace will only come in that area after the final battle of Armageddon when Christ and the heavenly armies intervene and finally put an end to the Palestinian question and bring peace. Love, forgiveness and prayer will always triumph. Love never fails.
