Butthead’s Beat: Nigerian to bail out Guptas

This poor, generous widow - on her deathbed - believes that her generosity will be repaid (hopefully by the police).

TO quote Francis of Assisi: “For it is in giving that we receive.”

How apt that the Herald should receive this email (repeated here verbatim), sent by a loving widow and mother on her deathbed. It brought tears to one’s eyes:

Dear Beloved, How are you today!

I hope the glory of our God Almighty is always with you and your family.

This should not be a strange communication to you, I seek your indulgence to solicit for your assistance concerning the content of my e-mail, although I am not comfortable discussing it through this manner, due to lots of unsolicited mails on the internet presently, but I have no other medium to do so right now since the situation of my health is deteriorating.

INTRODUCTION: I am Mrs. Anna Farah; I am married to late Mr. Daniel Farah of blessed memory, a Hungarian citizen. Who was a reputable business magnet in Gabon and Cote D’Ivoire for many years before He died of Heart Attack in the year 2012.

We were married for Thirty-One years with a child and our only Daughter died in a ghastly motor accident last Two years ago.

My late husband deposited a huge sum of money of with a Finance Firm.

Presently, I am battling with both lung cancer and stroke and according to my doctor, my medical report quotes a very short life sperm due to my present health condition that I only have about 1-3 months to live, I do not know but only God can say. That is just my faith as a deteriorating cancer patient. But I pray to God to heal me so that I will be alive and see this work done as my late husband instructed me. Because my present health condition I have decided to donate the above mentioned funds to an individual, Christian or any faith, He or She will utilize these funds the way I am going to instruct herein to use these funds for less privilege once the poor and the needy all the old people and innocent violated kids. I know we have not meet before but I want you to consider this matter as DIVINE MISSION!!! Remain blessed.

Mrs. Anna Farah

Dear ‘Beloved’ Ms Farah,

You have my deepest sympathies and may your demise come painlessly, but swiftly.

In the meantime, I think I can help with finding deserving people for your very kind bequest. There are several thousands people who work for the Gupta family in South Africa. Unfortunately, it seems the Guptas have fallen on hard times and will not be able to pay their employees this month.

I’m still battling to establish where they bank, but I will get back to you with those details asap.

You remain blessed, too.

Butthead.
