OPINION: ‘Professional care was invaluable’

The long hours worked by doctors is not only unfair, but detrimental to their health and the well-being of patients.

DEAR Editor,-

A big thank you to all staff members of G ward at the Port Shepstone Regional Hospital after recent surgery to repair an irreducible inguinal hernia. To the sisters, nurses, doctors, my surgeon and the professor, I am feeling on top of the world after your dedicated and professional care.

Keep up the good work!

Personally, I think that the long hours worked by these doctors is not only unfair, but detrimental to their health and the well-being of their patients. Many thanks again to the staff.
