OPINION: ‘Guardian angels were watching me’

I found that I had inadvertently got one of my tyres stuck in a ditch and the car wouldn’t move!

DEAR Editor,-

On Sunday August 14, while driving in Leisure Bay along Fisherman’s Drive, I pulled over onto a grass patch to use my GPS and, to my horror, I found that I had inadvertently got one of my tyres stuck in a ditch and the car wouldn’t move!

I jumped out of the car and started to panic.

Then I heard a woman calling out to me, asking if I needed help. It seems I had some guardian angels watching over me! David and Lindsey Humphrey alighted from their van and towed me out, all the while maintaining a cheer that swelled my heart. They even stopped another guy named Calvin (unfortunately I did not get a surname) driving past on a motorbike to help. Calvin did so with a smile on his face.

You guys saved my holiday!

From my girlfriend and I – a huge thank you! This act of kindness will not be forgotten!
