OPINION: ‘This company wins hands down’

The engine on my car burnt two pistons and we feared it would involve huge expenses.

DEAR Editor,-

About two months ago, the engine on my car burnt two pistons and since I had purchased the vehicle in February, it had just come out of warranty. My wife and I are both pensioners and at the time were caravanning at TO Strand near Port Edward.

We despaired about this massive problem confronting us and feared it would involve huge expenses.

Staff members John Lambert, Simone Wilcocks, Angela Osborn and Goodhope Maphumulo at County Ford Port Shepstone went out of their way to help us. They assisted with transport to and from Port Edward and took us shopping.

Simone kept in daily contact with me to keep me updated on the progress.

Where they could, they contributed by negotiating with suppliers for prompt service and reduced prices for spares. They also recommended Mannes Motor Engineering, another company who gave me excellent service and we would like to thank Yugen Chetty for that.

The clincher is that I am not even from KwaZulu-Natal and I have news for the so-called service ‘providers’ from Gauteng and Mpumalanga – The guys in KZN beat you hands down for service!
