OPINION: Long live the South Coast ‘Samaritans’

I was having a bit of a struggle when a very kind man and his family who live in Southbroom stopped to help.

DEAR Editor,-

I want to place on record that our beautiful South Coast can still boast that it has many wonderful ‘good Samaritans’ living down here!

As an elderly pensioner, I experienced a dreaded puncture as I was leaving the Trading Post at Southbroom on the afternoon of October 9. Not being a ‘fundi’ at changing tyres, I was having a bit of a struggle when a very kind man and his family who live in Southbroom stopped and did the necessary change-over for me.

Unfortunately I did not get his name, so I hope he spots this letter of thanks in the Herald, the South Coast’s esteemed newspaper.

Hooray for ‘good Samaritans’.
