Could the department responsible for digging up roads to repair water pipes please inform the department responsible for repairing road surfaces that the road had been damaged by the work and needs attention?
In the Southport area alone there are several large growing holes that originated when leaking pipes were repaired.
Some of these damaged areas have been there for months and the red and white hazard tape left to warn motorists of the danger has long gone.
There is never any follow-up.
