DEAR Editor,-
I am looking for some information on the old SADF Commandos on the South Coast and, if memory serves me correctly, all small towns had their own commandos units ‘in the old days’.
I am currently busy with a project regarding the history of all the commando units and would be very grateful if anyone can help me with information, photos, badges, or any other relevant artefacts or paraphernalia.
My reason for doing this is to protect and preserve the history since most of our past has been removed. No matter how bad or good it was, the past happened and we cannot undo it.
I personally feel that all stories must be told and related items must be preserved.
