AS a pet lover with a special passion for all monkeys, having had some as pets during childhood, I also declare war on the criminals who poison animals and monkeys in particular.
I offer a further R15 000 cash reward following that of Green Think Foundation to any person who can assist or lead to the successful prosecution of the brutal, brainless uneducated killer.
We in South Africa and along the coastlines cannot ever imagine how fortunate we are to have these lovely creatures to roam our properties and spice up the surrounds.
As humans, we may perceive them to be ‘naughty’ – so what? Did they attend school? we know not, we encroached on their domain, they were here for all ages before and we should exhibit tolerance and love to them..
Where I work in West Africa, there are none left as the locals have eaten them all and if we don’t stand up and protect these lovely animals, our grandchildren will be left with a photo on the internet as memory only and that would be a shame.
