Congratulations to Shona Aylward for being runner-up in the Journalist of the Year category at the recent Caxton awards.
She should have won it because she certainly brings passion and commitment to her work and Hibiscus Animal Welfare can testify to that.
Shona has helped our cause for many years and we are immensely grateful to her.
Being involved with animal issues, as she is, is not an easy job and not many of us relish having to report on some of the cases she gets involved with – that dreadful monkey story, for a start.
