5 WTH moments of the week

Ever scrolled past a post on social media and gone ‘what the hell!’ and sat there dumbfounded? From World Gardening Naked Day to giving a snail a bath, SHONA AYLWARD shares her list of world-gone-mad moments from the past week.

Number 1:

A shocking number of children climb out of a taxi

This takes vehicle ‘overloading’ to another level.

This is unacceptable how can it be expected of these kids to use such transport. Our government needs to create a safe and reliable public transport system for those who can’t afford cars. And in the meantime impose strict and harsh consequences to all current taxis – South Africa Exposed/facebook

Something certainly needs to be done specially when it entails the lives of children! Enforce the law!

Number 2:

World Naked Gardening Day is tomorrow, May 6th. Are you ready?

World Naked Gardening Day is an opportunity to pull weeds, plant flowers, and harvest vegetables while getting some sun where it doesn’t usually shine.

Hahahaha! I love this –  www.wideopenspaces.com goes on to write – while you might get a little dirty, the intention is good, clean, fun in the sun, and a move towards becoming more comfortable in our skin with ‘non-sexual nudity.

I’m all for trying new things – so if you feel like being a little daring this Saturday – I dare you to go pull weeds NAKED!

And if your neighbour reports you to the Herald – well, we will just say – gardening naked is an actual thing, go Google it!

Video reveals unsecured water reservoir in Leisure Bay

If you missed this week’s video on the Herald’s website – it’s a must watch if you:

  1. Live on the South Coast.
  2. Are tired of poor service delivery.
  3. Are concerned about South Africa’s water problems.
  4.  Believe we should be protecting our water resources.

So, what got me watching all 7.22 minutes of Phillip Lennon’s Facebook LIVE video?

Perhaps, that he is a natural in front of the camera and he is funny, but most interestingly, water is life and we should all be aware of what is going on with this precious life resource.

Number 4:

Snail loves a good bath

OK, people must have too much time on their hands!

While the video from the Daily Mail is awfully cute – I can barely find the time to wash my dogs let alone a SNAIL.

If I ever do plan to wash and massage a snail – I will keep the coconut oil in mind.

Number 5:

Puppy covered in glue and left for dead

GOSH this is just cruel and nasty!

Thank goodness for happy endings…

Now, go have a good weekend and please – love puppies!
