OPINION: ‘Thanks for doing a great job, Shona’

I believe if we appreciate and give praise where due, instead of always moaning, things will get done.

DEAR Editor,-

Well done to Shona! She is doing a great job, both for her career and for our little village of Sunwich Port.

Shona has helped in the past with her articles, for which I am thankful. I speak on behalf of all Sunwich Port residents – for example, she got the broken wooden steps onto our Sunwich Port beach fixed.

To give the municipality their due, they have done a great job on many past requests. Two weeks ago I sent an email with an accurate description of and the whereabouts of some 19 non-working street lights in Sunwich Port to municipality services and within a week they had repaired all. A BIG thank you!

I believe if we appreciate and give praise where due, instead of always moaning, things will get done. Ubuntu.
