OPINION: ‘Impatient motorists behaved badly’

Rescue personnel were applauded for their efforts.

DEAR Editor,-

What a shame to read in last week’s Herald how some motorists were impatient and hooting incessantly while emergency service crews were trying to get patients to safety during the fire at Port Shepstone Regional Hospital.

Hopefully these impatient people will never have to be in a situation where their loved ones need to be helped to safety.

To all emergency crews, hospital staff, traffic, police officers and everyone else who rallied to help, thank you – we salute you. Thank you to all of you.
