Zimasa in the Zone: Babes Wodumo rants on Twitter … gets a thumbs up from Ethekwini mayor

It seems the Wololo hitmaker's string of bad luck may end.

WOLOLO hitmaker, ‘Babes Wodumo’ who went on a rant after winning the ‘Dololo’ awards at this year’s Metro Awards and the recent SAMA awards.

Babes seems to have a string of bad luck as she didn’t even get the first spot in the ‘song of the year’ on new year’s eve but that’s about to change as Ethekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede plans to have a ‘send off’ for babes ahead of the BET awards whom she is nominated it as well…..

Both ‘Babes’ and Nasty C from KZN have been nominated in the BET awards but fans are concerned that public monies were being used for petty stuff.

Most have asked why the public’s purse was being used to honor only these artists and not the rest? And if the city’s mayor was indirectly promoting drug use?

Babes’s song ‘Mercedez’ was banned on most radio stations for allegedly promoting a drug called ‘Mercedez’ which is alleged to have killed many children in townships.
“Her music doesn’t make sense, it has no ‘educational value’ or ‘valuable message’ so I really wonder why a city mayor would go to this extent, but I still dance to her beats,” alluded one fan.
Like it or not, The Breakfast send off is taking place tomorrow (Wednesday, June 14) at Moses Mabhida Stadium from 7am to 9am.
