DEAR Editor,-
I am a single mother. Last Monday I went shopping at the Oribi Plaza Pick n Pay and had my two-year-old son with me. At the car I was assisted by a guard named Pumzile who helped me put my groceries in the car and took my trolley back. Unfortunately I did not get his surname.
When I got home, I noticed that my wallet was missing so I retraced my steps back to the Oribi Plaza. I approached Pumzile and asked if he had perhaps seen it. To my amazement he told me that he had handed it in to Morris Moodley at K9 Security.
I contacted the office and was told that the wallet was there for safekeeping. At the office, I found that all my cards were safe and so was the R3 423 cash I had left in the wallet. I did not think I would get my money back and am truly touched and grateful for the honesty and professionalism of the guards on duty. Thank you kindly Pumzile.
