ONCE again, the vampires on that ‘cheery’ local whinge site are baying for Ugu municipal manager DD Naidoo’s blood.
That’s because taps ran dry again and DD was not seen in person racing about the ’burbs with plumbing paraphernalia, shouting… ‘SORRY’!

“And, what say you, Butthead? You are also conspicuous by your silence.”
Hence, even a lowly columnist was also pushed (not flushed) down the loo.
(One past comment – ‘he is so far up DD’s butt that only his toenails show’ – still warrants a chuckle.)
This is totally understandable, of course. Those who have suffered without water so often, sometimes for days on end, have every right to be frustrated and downright furious.
They are well within their rights to lash out at DD, who understands that he’s the buck-stop. Butthead will also take it on the butt.
No excuse… and DD wants no sympathy, but he has been in bed with serious flu for the past three weeks, probably due to stress.
While he was laid up, he wasn’t too happy with his own staff’s lack of communication either and he let them have it on his return this week.
However, nothing warrants throwing a sick man under the bus by posting his private cellphone number on Facebook and instigating a flood of vitriol.
Afriforum’s Wessel Pretorius, just a word of caution: You opened the ‘cloud’ to some serious racial slurs and other messages which could even be construed as ‘hate speech’.
DD would be well within his rights to lay criminal charges.
Here’s one example: “I’m taking this to carte blance (sic) now we suffer and you (don’t?) give a (expletive censored). Get off your stinking butt and do the job you are well paid for. Stop being an ignorant bastard.”
And you guys wonder why he is reluctant to speak to you personally?
By the by, Ugu received an ‘unqualified audit’ this year – a huge improvement from when it was bankrupt in 2013, when DD took the helm.

That’s why DD has been nominated for an award, not because of water and sanitation services. He is the first to admit that there are huge problems with the latter and he promises they will be solved, but overnight is impossible.
There is little doubt that this will do zilch to quench the blood lust of some.
However, one has to point out that human ‘claret’ is very salty and will probably make one even more thirsty.
