Zimasa in the Zone: ‘My cheating husband has two kids with the ‘other woman’!

Her husband had been sneaking around for years without her knowing.

A STORY a woman (30) shared left me asking myself what type of society we live in?

Her sorry tale still echoes at the back of my mind.

Her husband was living a double life and,  after nine years of being faithful to him, she found out that he had two kids with the ‘other’ woman.

I know what you are thinking…..based on this I have concluded, men are surprisingly secretive!

Although she had caught him cheating with different women time and time again – and contracting STIs – she stayed due to the “Bazothin’ Abantu Syndrome”- (what will people say)?

She wouldn’t dare cheat on him as he vowed to ‘blow her brains out’ should she even think of it.

Hypocrite!

You see, I think men can’t handle rejection. They also can’t handle being cheated on…yet they cheat time and time again without even realising the emotional damage they cause to their spouse.

And believe it or not, the ‘other woman’ also gets bruised emotionally.

I don’t blame the women he cheated with, he gave them the green light when he broke his vows.

Does she walk away or stay?

Everyday I wonder how she survives,  and it made me think how I too, together with the rest of society, may indirectly be part of the problem.

I tried telling his mother but she told me his father was the same; I tried telling my own mother, but she too told me to suck it up and stay for the sake of my kids, – Long-suffering wife

Her friends, even those from church,  told her he was still her husband and that she had made vows…vows he broke time and time again.

Society!

How does she get the strength to walk away when it seems those who are supposed to protect her are sending her straight back to the wolf?
