Have you been wondering what it means?

HAVE you been wondering what the phrase #Tholukuthi Hey! means on your Facebook and Twitter timelines?

I’ve had a couple of friends who have asked what it means, one of them, the selfie-king himself, Mr Cedric Mboyisa who is always in the know.

My response?- ‘Issa new track’ making waves in RSA.

Those who know it, love it, and once you hear it, ubeka ama morals ecelen udanse mntaka mah! (shut up and groove)

Tholukuthi Hey! Tholukuthi Hey! Hey!

In simple English the phrase means ‘you might find that’…You’ve just taken a selfie without taking a bath! ha ha ha aren’t we all guilty of that?

Even high ranking politicians are using the #Tholukuthi Hey! hashtag.

At the beginning of August, Student Killer Kau recorded a video and uploaded it on Twitter; in the video Killer is singing “Thol’kuthi hey to a Destruction Boyz beat.

The video went viral so quickly even celebrities started recording themselves dancing to the track.

DJ Euphonik reached out to Killer, asking him to collaborate with him in making a full-length track.

Mbali Sikwane also recorded herself singing along to this song, Euphonik reached out to her and asked her to record the song in studio.
