Once again the shoddy and unprofessional workmanship of Ugu is evident. A month ago there was a water leak on Mgazi Avenue in Umtentweni and Ugu workers arrived, dug a half-metre deep hole, refilled the hole with what they’d taken out and simply left.

There is no reflective warning tape (except a small remnant attached to a broken piece of branch), the old tarmac was left lying in a pile and the hole was never properly repaired.
