OPINION: ‘Illegal action was tantamount to anarchy’

Guilty parties must be named, shamed and dismissed.

DEAR Editor,-

Congratulations for taking a stand during the current water fiasco. I see that the Herald holds the mayor responsible for not being seen in times of crises. The fact that workers are holding the management to ransom, as we are told, is entirely unacceptable and tantamount to anarchy.

If workers are dissatisfied, then management is not doing its job. If pipes and systems are old or insufficient, then management is falling down on planning – and not doing its job.

The level of services, for which residents are paying, is entirely unacceptable, and those who have revealed their incompetence must be replaced.

People who have proved their unworthiness must not be retained in such important positions and guilty parties must be named, shamed and dismissed.
