We really enjoyed the excellent editorial by Judi Davis about the Gorge Private Game Lodge and Spa being announced as the South African national winner for the 5-Star Lodge category at the Lilizela Awards 2017 recently, as well as the wonderful accompanying photographs (SCH November 10).

It is very good to see a hospitality team in our treasured area being rewarded for their extreme efforts.
One has to say congratulations to the owner, the management and staff. May many travellers enjoy their vision and the South Coast’s spectacular views and renowned hospitality.
The article brightened a grey, wet and cold, northern hemisphere morning. Hopefully, this will spur locals into spreading the news of their areas successes and attributes, far and wide.
