OPINION: ‘Sexational’ headlines don’t belong’

It does lower the standard of the paper, I am sorry to say.

DEAR Editor,-

We do enjoy reading the Herald so much, but PLEASE can we not have the word ‘sex’ splashed across the front page? (SCH December 8 ‘Sordid side of sex lines’)

Was it necessary to put it across so blatantly? It does lower the standard of the paper, I am sorry to say.

Do try to avoid that word we see so much of – or at least NOT on the front page.
