Heartfelt thanks to ANC Councillor Selvan Chetty for caring and showing an interest in Umtentweni – even though the suburb is not his ward.
For those who don’t know – Cllr Chetty recently played an important role in getting the garden at the main intersection in Tweni weeded and spruced up before holidaymakers arrived.

And he then physically helped the Umtentweni Conservancy and volunteers fix the whale deck for most of last Saturday.
He further offered a R2 000 reward for any information that might lead to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for setting the deck alight last week.
This man is a shining example of what a ward councillor should be doing in his/her community. Cllr Chetty gets involved, shows compassion and commitment to his community.
