OPINION: ‘Private phones must be banned at work’

A few days ago I had the misfortune of reapplying for my driver’s licence.

This excruciating exercise lasted more than five hours.

During this time and in full view of everyone, not a minute went by without the women behind the counter paying full attention to their cellphones.

Obviously using social media to look at videos, they then call other staff to join in the fun.

It is most insulting. Private phone use should be banned during working hours.
