OPINION: ‘There is no ‘sweet deception’ on the South Coast’

So we can all thank the Carte Blanche investigators for exposing these malpractices.

DEAR Editor,-

With regards to the recent Carte Blanche insert entitled ‘Sweet deception’, we the Beekeepers of the South Coast, would like to assuage any doubts about the quality of honey bottled locally.

We only bottle locally-produced honey and our honeys are not irradiated. It also does not contain any added sugar or antibiotics.

We are the proud producers of the South Coast’s purest honey.

We can also assure those medically-challenged that they can buy locally bottled and produced honey.

South Coast beekeepers can only vouch for local product, at a time when bottlers of honey elsewhere have been brought into disrepute by despicable practices that question the integrity of all beekeepers and bottles of honey.

The relevant inspectors and authorities have been lax in exposing these criminals, supposedly due to lack of funds.

So we can all thank the Carte Blanche investigators for exposing these malpractices.

And we thank our loyal customers for their support – ja nee, local is lekker!

PS. Do not let the price determine your purchase – rather read the label carefully.
