OPINION: ‘Shunted from pillar to post’

I was told it would be reported to the superintendent two months ago, but as yet nothing has been done.

DEAR Editor,-

I have been in contact with Ray Nkonyeni Munipality in Uvongo on two separate occasions to complain that grass verges in the area have not been cut in six months.

I was told it would be reported to the superintendent two months ago, but as yet nothing has been done.

I again phoned on the morning of November 28, only to be told I would be put through to the ‘Care Department’.

Since I am a widow and have no means of cutting these verges, I wonder what could be done to bring this problem to an end.
