With reference to Pat Symcox’s observations (‘Hibberdene needs help’ SCH, February 1).
I have just driven along the R102 through Hibberdene and uncollected garbage bags, plenty of them ripped open, are quite visible from the road in various places.

This was last Thursday and therefore not a collection day.
It is so sad to see these once-pristine little seaside villages so untidy.
Thank you Pat for highlighting the plight of at least one of these villages.
