OPINION: ‘Perilous potholes cover the road’

Obviously local municipal council don't care about these potholes because they're not on a route used by councillors.

DEAR Editor,-

Four times now I have reported potholes at the Seaview Road/North Drive intersection that cross the whole road.

And outside 26 Valley Road also stretch across the entire road.

All these potholes are on the main route used by residents of Margate Retirement Village.

A slight loss of attention could have drastic results when, by trying to avoid these potholes, an accident results.

Obviously local municipal council don’t care about these potholes because they’re not on a route used by councillors.

I see many potholes being repaired by provincial repair squads, so why does our local council not repair local roads?
