OPINION: ‘Lack of water is a real concern’

This is the sixth consecutive day that our taps have been dry.

DEAR Editor,-

People in Margate are desperate since the latest water crisis.

I live on Wavell Avenue in Margate and this is the sixth consecutive day that our taps have been dry.

There are no concrete answers or solutions from Ugu, and we are at our wits end.

My property is 2.2 hectares and all my bills are paid on time, but I am not receiving any service for which I am paying.

I have five horses and many animals, ranging from chickens, ducks, rabbits to dogs and cats.

I have a wife, three children, a mother-in-law and a groom living with me and we all need water.

There is none in the taps and the tanks are now almost empty. We are in real trouble.

Anyone is welcome to visit and see the water dilemma.

Surely there is expertise available at Ugu to remedy this problem?
