OPINION: ‘We remain deeply indebted to hospice’

Donating an aircon unit for their new Central Chronic Medicines Dispensing and Distribution Office is in loving memory of our mum.

DEAR Editor,-

Our family is honoured to be of assistance to South Coast Hospice.

We first knew about South Coast Hospice through our late mother’s good friend Saroj Chellan, at the inception of Hope for Hospice many years ago.

Sadly, in December 2015, cancer came to our door.

During mum’s fight against cancer, specifically in her last days, it was hospice that provided her with palliative care and pain management, which eased her suffering immensely.

The support and kindness we experienced from the entire team through those weeks was beyond any private or public care facility.

As a family, we will remain deeply indebted to hospice for their generosity, kindness and care.

The gesture of donating an aircon unit, including installation, for their new Central Chronic Medicines Dispensing and Distribution Office is in loving memory of our mum, Logani, and every cancer hero who has gained their wings.
