Kevin and Donna Krummeck have always been an adventurous couple.
Their latest madcap adventure is a ‘retake’ in a sense of what they had planned around about this time last year, namely a Dundee2Dundee trip.

Kevin was born in Dundee in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, Donna in Dundee in Scotland.
The idea was to take a journey on land up the west coast of Africa in their home on wheels, a trusty Land Rover Defender.
However, the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.
No matter how carefully a project is planned, something may still go wrong with it.
The saying is adapted from a line in ‘To a Mouse’ by Scottish poet and lyricist Robert Burns: “The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men/gang aft a-gley.”
Luckily, Kevin will still have some time to work on his Scottish accent.
But in all seriousness they turned back to be at the birth of their daughter Skye’s first child, Tawny, and their son Kyle’s wedding, life events they could not necessarily have predicted.
They’ve left on a second go at completing this epic voyage, at the same time raising funds and creating awareness for Give A Child A Family which is based in Margate.
The couple has gone on a different route, this time up the eastern side.
And so far, it’s been quite an experience – they narrowly missed Cyclone Idai in Mozambique, and then had the chance to track gorillas in Uganda.
“You have one life, you need to live it,” said Kevin. “It was a surreal experience, absolutely loved it,” said Donna.
At the time of writing, they were enjoying sunsets of the Nile River, in Uganda.
“We’ll cross from Uganda to Kenya and then we will move up to Ethiopia and Sudan and Egypt and then cross over to Turkey.”
