Dear Editor:
What a hectic two weeks this was since the floods. This time I was personally involved with people needing help after they have lost so much.
We as Joanne’s Angels salute every person who has donated towards our flood victims.

The news was barely out about the flooding, and the people started dropping off at the Mail newspaper.
From Joanne’s Angels a big thank you. God bless you all.
Also a very big thank you must go to Adri Venter and her team at the Mail newspaper for allowing everyone to drop off at their offices.
A little about the staff at the Mail newspaper… not once have I seen them not giving a big smile whenever we went to pick up from them and every time all of them – no matter how busy they were – helped carry bags of stuff to my car.
Adri, you and your team are fantastic.
At this stage Club Marina is back on track and are no more in need of clothing and bedding.
We have also sent loads of stuff out to the Umzinto community and individuals who have also been very hard hit.
We still are in need of furniture and beds and electric appliances for some individuals who has lost all.

Last week people still dropped off at the Mail and at home. We would like to thank Mrs Cookie Myburgh, Adele Levis, Marie, Yellowwood Nursery, Eleanor, Zubeda, Berta, Cathy Robertson, Dave Barber, Norma, Amina, Mary-Ann van Jaarsveld, Zita Burgers and Jill.
Please forgive me if I did not thank you individually (or get your surnames) but really you cannot believe how hard we worked to get stuff out in time.
