DEAR Editor,-
Residents of Q Gardens complex, and I believe others residents in Collis Road, Manaba, have had water supply problems for many weeks.
Our problem have been more complicated with water to units on a higher level obtaining water late at night and no water from early morning.

Lower level units had a constant supply of water, albeit it quite low in pressure at times.
Needless to say, we assumed it was because the pressure may have been reduced by Ugu.
On a recent Sunday afternoon, we were most fortunate, and it was by pure chance, we met up with a man from Ugu at our gate who introduced himself to us as Russel Nzenemu.
I believe he is also known as Thulani and has been a long-serving employee at Ugu.
At that stage, he assumed he had sorted out the problem by finding a valve in Collis Road that was half open.
He gave us his cell number willingly and was so pleasant to interact with. His credibility was apparent immediately.
By the following Monday, it was obvious that the problem persisted and he was contacted on the Tuesday.
He even answered our calls whilst on training.
The Wednesday was a national public holiday and Thulani arrived to explain what he had found to be the problem all along at a valve further down Collis Road.
He then went the extra mile to get our water supply pumped up from the gate to all upper level units.
He performed the pressure test and it was evident that the pressure was indeed good.
Residents of Q Gardens complex are all so grateful to this ‘shining star’ that we were lucky enough to meet.
Ugu can be very proud of this outstanding employee.
He most certainly has expertise, commitment to his job and is a very good ambassador for his organisation.
