OPINION: ‘Lions close chapter on diabetes testing venue’

We have regrettably come to this decision because of falling numbers of people wishing to be tested.

DEAR Editor:

On behalf of the Lions Club of Scottburgh I write to inform you that from July 1, 2019 our club will no longer be offering diabetes testing at the Scottburgh Library on the last Friday of the month.

We have regrettably come to this decision because of falling numbers of people wishing to be tested.

Sometimes we have set up at the library and after two hours only tested three people. I am sure you will agree that this is not viable.

We do test at the Scottburgh Mall every first Tuesday of the month between the hours of 9am and 11am. Our table is outside Clicks.
