OPINION: ‘Unexpected gift was a blessing’

It helped until we could purchase water and Ugu did eventually start supplying water intermittently.

DEAR Editor,-

My husband and I stay in Greenhart Village in Palm Beach and like the rest of the South Coast, have a problem with the water supply.

The complex has a reservoir and we have our own tank, but the tanks all ran dry.

We were down to the last few litres and had to get to town to buy water.

It felt like we were camping in the veld, with electricity.

A friend in the complex informed us that there were bottles of water available at High Rock Pub and Grill and we could fetch two bottles.

It was so unexpected and so welcome.

It helped until we could purchase water and Ugu did eventually start supplying water intermittently.

We believe that Gift of the Givers and Port Edward Superspar supplied the water and we want to say thank you.

It was unexpected and a blessing to those in the complex who not only did not have water, but had no transport or finances to purchase fresh water.

Their efforts and gift is highly appreciated.
