DEAR Editor:
It is unbelievable how many motorists don’t read road signs.
Is it because they are illiterate or have bought their licences or because they are just plain stupid?

Every time the R102 is closed, the traffic is diverted down Margaret Avenue.
Even though we have added a ‘dead end’ sign to the cul-de-sac sign pole, there are still so many motorists who turn down Stephen Road.
This is most unpleasant as it increases the volume of traffic down this road 10-fold.
What happens at a ‘blind crossing’, ‘level crossing’ or school sign. I shudder to think.
