Global warming. It’s becoming an increasingly hot topic, if you’ll excuse the awful pun.
There seem to be roughly three camps of opinion on this matter.
There are those who are convinced the earth is getting hotter and hotter, due in part to the massive population growth.

Then there’s the group who reckon the idea is somewhat ridiculous and part of a major scam or hoax by world governments to obtain power, control and tax money.
Finally, there are those who aren’t bothered or even aware of what’s going on.
Is it because of global warming or simply a matter of the earth’s weather patterns over the centuries.
While you can debate the topic till the cows come home (or don’t) what is without doubt is that the world’s fragile eco-system is under threat.
The amount of plastic being dumped in our water around the world is quite shocking and the evidence is there to see.
Closer to home, the need to find new natural fuel resources has led to a desire for explorative gas and oil drilling which could put marine life in our oceans under pressure, especially if there is a spillage.
Further away, when you think of the wisdom of creating something like the Kruger National Park, you kind of wish it had been made five times the size when you see what’s going on in terms of poaching.
Two or three hundred years ago the notion that the earth was running out of resources to sustain the planet would have been laughed at.
Now it’s a very real threat.
It’s been said that we borrow the earth from our children, or grandchildren.
What will be left of it in the next 200 years, if it survives that long?
In a small way, we can do our bit to keep the world clean by at, the very least, not littering.
