OPINION: ‘Old and rusty beach bins need replacing’

It is covered with rust, broken and falling apart.

DEAR Editor;

I went down to Preston beach this past Saturday and noticed that one of the bins at the beach is in terrible condition.

It is covered with rust, broken and falling apart. There is no use of having such a beautiful beach when something in plain sight takes away the beauty.

I also believe that more people would be encouraged to litter less if they see proper solid bins available.

There is already a concrete bin at the beach, but that is often filled to the brim with rubbish, more especially on weekends.

Rusty bins like this one need to be replaced by more concrete bins as a step closer to hopefully decreasing pollution at the beach and restoring its beauty.
