OPINION: ‘Youth Day kindness is appreciated’

A heartfelt thank you from all of us at CWPS to each of you, our Youth Day Heroes. Your acts of kindness turn the concept of ubuntu into a living reality.

DEAR Editor;

Plagued as we are with the dreaded pandemic and the resultant fall-out, it is no surprise that we have largely lost sight of the joy and wonder to be had from life. I think it fair to say that no one has experienced the strain of it more keenly than our children and in a bid to turn those little frowns upside down Child Welfare SA Port Shepstone (CWPS) hosted 25 youths this past Youth Day for a day of fun and frivolity.

The fabulous Bianca Bosch of Margate Panelbeaters along with her amazing team, the generous folks at Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach, fronted by the lovely Melissa Sadayan, and the noble staff of Hibiscus Brokers, banded together to ensure that the children had a marvelous day, reminding them that they are precious and that hope is never far away.

A heartfelt thank you from all of us at CWPS to each of you, our Youth Day Heroes. Your acts of kindness turn the concept of ubuntu into a living reality.
