OPINION: ‘Tribute to an indomitable woman of steel’

Tansy Moss was focused, determined and worked tirelessly in print media. Her passing is one to celebrate her and the Moss family's achievements rather than mourn.

DEAR Editor;

On behalf of the broader community, Practical Ministries family and local churches, let me pay tribute while I can to an indomitable woman of steel, who made a significant impact on the landscape of our beautiful region, far and wide.

Tansy Moss was focused, determined and worked tirelessly in print media. Her passing is one to celebrate her and the Moss family’s achievements rather than mourn.

As a featured writer in the Fever, and a regular newsmaker in the Herald, Mrs Moss and I had many run-ins, yet she stood her ground.

I lost some battles in having articles featured in the Fever and some she gladly approved, in all my respect for her grew and she once gave the late Pauline Duncan, Marion Wessels and I a hearing to discuss community news issues, we left in high spirits.

Her enterprising role, dedication to print media in spite of a declining phase, she proved herself in our communities.

I pay my humble respects and pray that her family takes courage in the celebration of her life. As a fellow Paul Harris awardee, my respect comes with God’s grace and mercy, and paying sincere condolences too.
