OPINION: ‘Sincere thanks to hospital staff for their care’

It is difficult to convey the appreciation one has of the friendly, helpful and very efficient service of the entire staff.

DEAR Editor;

I recently spent four weeks in the ICU and high care unit of Hibiscus Hospital after contracting coronavirus. This letter is to express my sincere thanks to the doctors and staff for their care.

It is difficult to convey the appreciation one has of the friendly, helpful and very efficient service of the entire staff.

This service extended from the cleaning staff, the kitchen, the hospital supervisor to the amazing sisters in charge of the wards.

I am loathe to mention names as there are simply too many wonderful people involved. However, I would like to mention the physiotherapist Tenille Ragoobar who came in to attend to me. Words cannot express my appreciation to Dr Vishal Maharaj. Suffice to say…he cared. His kindness, empathy and understanding knew no bounds.

To everyone I came into contact with, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

HERMIENA STEYTLER
