OPINION: ‘South Coast not a pretty sight for visitors’

The holes in the wall near one of the restaurants were being opened so that sewage water from the drain could run onto the beach.

DEAR Editor;

My family and I are here on holiday and staying in Manaba, however we are concerned about a few things.

Why doesn’t your municipality warn us about the dirty water that comes out the taps?

After running yourself a bath you no longer want to climb in for fear that you will be a lot dirtier than you were before the bath.

Sewage water flowing out at Uvongo beach.

Furthermore, the potholes are wrecking vehicles and I’m sure it is also a contributing factor to the many accidents that occur here.

We were recently on Uvongo beach and what did we see?

The holes in the wall near one of the restaurants were being opened so that sewage water from the drain could run onto the beach.

Families and little children are all around and it will surely pollute the ocean life.

We are people who care about life and to see something like this is just disgusting.
