OPINION: ‘Masked off about discarded masks’

I know people don't want to pick them up, but I thought it might be wise to at least break the loop to stop small creatures and birds getting stuck.

DEAR Editor;

On my daily on my walks I have observed that many masks are simply thrown away.

I know people don’t want to pick them up, but I thought it might be wise to at least break the loop to stop small creatures and birds getting stuck.

Just a thought.

It really does amaze me how many are thrown away but I suppose it shouldn’t be a surprise, considering the littering in general.
