Unpredictable rainfall this year

This totals 123 mm of rainfall for February – although almost twice as much as we had in January.

While the South Coast had a welcome shower of rain last week, not surprisingly February was hot and relatively dry.

The rainfall figures for February in Scottburgh were as follows: 4th – 55mm; 5th – 18mm; 6th – 7,5mm; 10th – 3mm; 14th – 21mm; 17th – 13mm; 19th – 2mm; 27th – 3,5mm.

This totals 123 mm of rainfall for February – although almost twice as much as we had in January.

In comparison, these were the totals for February in 2021 – 124mm; 2020 – 186mm; 2019 – 93mm; 2018 – 76,5mm; 2017 – 189mm.

From these figures we can see how unpredictable our rainfall is in this part of the world.
