OPINION: ‘Good Samaritans thanked for water delivery’

They are angels and Good Samaritans who assisted thousands of people.

DEAR Editor;

I extend our heartfelt thanks to a local security company and the great team that has been and is supplying water to the community of Umkomaas, Widenham, Craigieburn, New Haven and Saiccor Village.

They have been collecting water from Sappi with their own vehicles, friends and helpers, waiting in long queues to get the water tanks full, then going into certain areas and hand delivering water to the elderly and people who can’t get to the tanker.

The security staff and voluntary workers have also been fetching empty containers, riding to the tanker, filling them and then taking the containers back to members of the community.

They are angels and Good Samaritans who assisted thousands of people.

Some days it was raining, yet the security company was there with the tanker. We are very grateful!

CAROL-ANN MARE
