OPINION: Farewell to RNM’s municipal manager
Maxwell Mbili's professionalism and dedication to building a capable state saw him take Ray Nkonyeni Muncipality to heights never before seen on the South Coast.
I have worked with Maxwell Mbili while I served as a councillor and chief whip of the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM)
He is probably one of the best municipal managers the South Coast has ever produced and certainly ranks very high among the best local government managers in the country.
He is a solid and dedicated administrator who is equal to any task in local government. His passion for professionalism and dedication to building a capable state saw him take RNM to heights never before seen on the South Coast.
There are so many awards, too numerous to mention. The municipality ranks among the best within the KwaZulu-Natal municipalities in terms of financial discipline, good governance and service delivery records.
His passion for serving the needs of the poor found us working closely together and building better communities.
Change is inevitable, however, I see Mbili back on the South Coast or in the province serving the people.
