OPINION: Flat owner appeals for help over taxi issue

"To even drive in or out our complex is a problem as you can't see oncoming traffic."

For the past few months we have had taxis parking in front of Stralenberg Flats (next to Netcare Private Hospital) in Wartski Drive, Margate. This is becoming a huge problem as the taxi drivers are using our fence as their toilet, as well as across the road to sit and perform their ablutions.

They are shouting and making it unsafe for us.
To even drive in or out our complex is a problem as you can’t see oncoming traffic.
This is now also becoming a taxi rank as so many people get in and out.
There is the taxi security that is openly walking around with AK-47s.

Then also, later in afternoon, they scream at other taxis to stop – and no matter how much traffic is behind a taxi, they force them to make a u-turn.
