OPINION: Licensing department visit better than expected

"Words cannot express my deep gratitude, but the memory of their kindness and generosity of spirit will remain with me forever."

Due to relocation and technical difficulties this letter has taken at least two months, or more, to be completed. My sincere apologies to those concerned.

As most people would testify, the mere thought of approaching the licensing department is a nightmare.
However, I was pleasantly surprised as I encountered some wonderful people who turned what I was expecting to be a stomach-churning experience into an unexpectedly pleasant encounter.

Mervin Moodley addressed the crowd on time in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring that the whole process ran smoothly. He was very considerate and most helpful.
The kindness and generosity I received from Harold Krause Snr and Harold Krause Jr left me in absolute awe.
Words cannot express my deep gratitude, but the memory of their kindness and generosity of spirit will remain with me forever.

Last, but not least, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mike Dayi for his unsolicited friendly and kind assistance. Such a pleasure to behold.
There are indeed still many good people around.
Thank you to all concerned and, once again, my sincere apologies for late acknowledgement of your kindness.

RACHEL MARAIS

PS: Mr Moodley, a polite and friendly cashier would have been the cherry on top.
