OPINION: Dry taps while Ugu plays

"During working hours, the Ugu teams were playing football, netball and more and then music and a braai at the Ugu Leisure Centre."

It was reported in the South Coast Herald last week that the residents of Pumula had been without water for 51 days.

Not so, says Ugu spokesman France Zuma, since an Ugu tanker had filled up a static tank paid for by the Pumula residents and this constitutes receiving a water supply.

He goes on to say that the Ugu teams are working around the clock to find solutions to the water problems. Not so, last Friday.

During working hours, the Ugu teams were playing football, netball and more and then music and a braai at the Ugu Leisure Centre; all paid for by the ratepayers whose taps are empty.
