Keep your calendar full with these upcoming community events.

Whether it’s a family fun run or walk, raising funds for cancer awareness, a potjie competition or learning about amphibians, there is something for everyone to participate in, in the mid-South Coast.

Upcoming events:

* A family fun run/walk/cycle event takes place at Rocky Bay on Saturday, September 23. There is a 4km family fun run/walk which starts at 09:45, a 6km walk/run which starts at 09:30 and a 12km MTB cycle ride which starts at 09:15. There will be a market and food stalls. * Pennington Conservancy is holding a Frog Night at Nkomba in Dolphin Drive on Saturday, September 23 from 15:00 until 20:00. Donations are welcome. RSVP on
083 4415084. Join in for a special evening and learn all about amphibians with local frogger and conservationist Cherise Acker, senior field officer – Threatened Amphibian Programme, Endangered Wildlife Trust.

* Pennington Conservancy holds a 5km fun run/walk starting at Nkomba Sanctuary and finishing at Umdoni Point on Sunday, September 24. Registration starts at 09:00, the run/walk starts at 10:00. For more information contact 083 4415084 or penningtonconservancy@gmail.com

* Pennington Conservancy hosts a craft market on the beach on Saturday, September 30 from 09:00 to 12:30. For more information contact 083 441 5084 or penningtonconservancy@gmail.com

* Cupcakes 4 kids with Cancer – help raise funds for an amazing initiative – child cancer awareness at 142 Scott Street, Scottburgh on Thursday, October 5. For further information contact 073 1518538. It’s the sweetest way to save a life.

* The Rec Club Market Day at Relton Hall in Pennington will be held on Saturday, October 7 from 09:00 to 12:00.

* Pennington Ski Boat Club presents the 2023 Potjie Competition on Saturday, October 7 from 10:00. There will be much eating and live music and loads of fun. Registration fee is R100. Email: secretary@psbc.org.za
